Most of the amendments in the Electoral Matters Amendment Bill simply bring independent candidates into the fold and merely consist of inserting those words into many sections of the laws being amended. There are, however, quite a few instances when this is not done, and there is disparity between the ways that parties, independent reps, and independent candidates are referred to.
